Target: Primary Teachers & Maths Co-ordinators

Course Aims:
To provide you with a selection of easy to learn, interactive and highly enjoyable ways of helping children recall facts and understand concepts.
To equip you to powerful and creative tools within the teaching of Mathematics, including Dave’s ‘Number Fun’ songs and ideas.
To explore the best methods of enhancing mathematical memory for all children.

Doubling Songs and Doubling Strategies

Session 2: 11.15 – 12.45 – CALCULATION (Key Focus: Division)

Equals Sign and Equals Sign Activities
Tables Facts
Division including:

1. Division Songs
2. The importance of grouping (and sharing)
3. Reddy 4 Chunking!
4. Importance of extended partitioning in years 2 and 3

Session 3: 1.30 – 3.15 – PROBLEM SOLVING
