FAQ Duck

If you are performing the Number Fun Nativity “Christmas No.1” or you sing Number Songs in assemblies where parents are present then you must ensure that you have a suitable licence to do so.

Performing Musicals
If you are planning to stage Christmas No. 1, or to record the performance and/or songs, you will need to apply for a Performing Licence. 'Block' licences which your school/group/LEA may have do not cover performances of musicals, licences for which are only available from publishers. Performing Number Fun Songs without permission from Omega Zone Publishing is illegal. Our licences start from as little as £10.00, and safeguard you from prosecution.
Performing Songs
Most schools have an arrangement with the Performing Rights Society (PRS) either directly, or through their local authority, in which case the performance of songs should be declared to the PRS. Organisations that do not have an arrangement with the PRS who wish to perform our songs should contact Omega Zone Publishing directly.
Copying song lyrics
If you photocopy or reproduce our lyrics to create song-sheets or overhead transparencies a licence is required. Photocopying of lyrics is covered if you hold an MRL licence from Christian Copyright Licensing International, but you should log the songs that are used on the MRL returns form. Organisations that do not have an MRL licence should contact Omega Zone Publishing directly for permission.
Intellectual Copyright
The revenue (royalties) raised from Performing Licences is the main source of income for writers. If intellectual copyright, which is protected by law, is not respected and royalties not paid, then there is no incentive for writers to produce new materials.
